Axon Ivy's latest process automation solution, Version 10, introduces a host of significant enhancements designed to push the boundaries of scalability and user-friendliness. Key features include a new process editor, a "Marketplace" for interfaces, full cloud enablement, a customizable dashboard, an intuitive user interface, and integration with Microsoft Teams.
Version 10 of the Axon Ivy platform brings fundamental innovations to both the design environment for developers and the end-user portal. The process editor – used by business analysts and process managers to design processes – has been visually and structurally revamped. The newly introduced "Marketplace" for system interfaces allows companies to quickly and seamlessly integrate various IT systems from third-party providers. Users now have access to predefined interfaces, known as "connectors," which they can also create independently and share with the community.
"Our new Marketplace allows users to quickly and easily develop connectors themselves. These can be used again in other projects across the entire range of processes, which paves the way for huge economies of scale," explains Andreas Balsiger, Head of Product Management at Axon Ivy.
The architecture of the Axon Ivy platform has now been completely optimized for cloud operation. Demands regarding scalability and the high availability of software products are constantly increasing, not only for major clients. As a result, it must be possible to operate systems in the cloud dynamically and resource-efficiently,' emphasizes Balsiger. Version 10 also includes improved testing, which will help companies address the rapid changes to processes in the digital age while ensuring the integrity of business processes.
The end-user portal has been redesigned for a more intuitive user experience, with a new, attractive interface that allows for even easier, more intuitive operation. Users can customize their dashboards to sort upcoming tasks by areas or priorities. Additionally, with integration into Microsoft Teams, users can access the Axon Ivy portal directly through the Microsoft platform.
"No tool can solve all problems; different technologies need to be organized and synchronized effectively. Consequently, the role of the process automation platform as an orchestrator will become increasingly important," comments Balsiger. "With Version 10, we have established the foundation for an Axon Ivy platform that fully integrates additional technologies, providing everything from a single source."
