Remote training series for partners

Due to the current worldwide travel restrictions, we will offer a full technical Axon.ivy Digital Business Platform training series online.

This training is intended to particularly onboard new partners but also to enhance existing skills.

 

In order to cater the constraints of online trainings, available time and communication, we have decided for the following learning approach:

 
The training series consists of 9 consecutive live online sessions. The duration of each live online learning session is 2 hours with a 5 minutes break at half time. 
 
For the best training results, we recommend high discipline:
 
  • It will be important to carefully listen and watch to the trainer’s explanations and presentations
  • After each live learning session, you can watch the recorded session again. The trainer will provide you with additional learning material. Then, you should consolidate the training content on your own Axon.ivy Designer installation during the following 2-3 days. This is of utmost importance because the live online sessions build on one another

 

The training series starts on 21st of April.

Session 1 – Overview presentation and demonstration of the Axon.ivy Digital Business Platform

Focus 

Have a look under the hood and see how powerful and flexible Axon.ivy Digital Business Platform can be used. We will demonstrate the platform’s capabilities (based on a procurement process example) to show: 

 

  • The Axon.ivy Portal  
  • Process-, Data-, Dialog creation 
  • Integration with ERP (database) 
  • Document creation 
  • Integration with DocuSign (Sign the created document) 
  • Business Rules (Configure if an approval is needed) 
  • Reporting (Standard and project based) 
  • Task planning – See which team member has a high workload and react accordingly 

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • understand how powerful Axon.ivy Digital Business Platform is and better assess which applications you can build with Axon.ivy Digital Business Platform for your clients 
  • download the Axon.ivy Designer. This will be important for the following training sessions

Session 2 – Learn to handle the Axon.ivy Designer and create your very first simple process application - step by step

Focus:  

Get to know the Axon.ivy Designer and lots of its helpful resources. Learn to import and simulate demos. Understand the project structure and create your first process flow, its data and dialogs. 

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • find the best sources of information (Documentation, Q&A, API) 
  • flow case various demo projects 
  • create your first process from A-Z

Session 3 – Optimize business handling of your process using the portal (Portal Basic)

April 28, 2020

Focus:  

Introduction to the Axon.ivy Portal. Configure your process so that a business user can use all the great features such as filters, search, description, audit trail. Start by using the low hanging fruits which do not require any or only little coding efforts.   

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • import and use the portal in your Axon.ivy Designer 
  • understand how to work with the portal 
  • configure your process so that lots of portal features can be used 

Session 4 – Introduction to further powerful process elements and patterns

Focus:  

Introduction to most of the powerful process elements and interesting process patterns. Understand and configure elements such as tasks, process starts, sub-processes, script-step, email step, signal Use patterns for parallel task processing and more. 

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • understand which element suits your needs 
  • configure most of the elements 
  • know which pattern can be used to fulfill your use case 

Session 5 – Integrate to external tools using standard connectors

Focus: Read and write data to and from external systems using REST-, SOAP or database step. Publish your own soap service.  

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • use REST process step to connect to REST services   
  • use the WebService step to connect to SOAP services 
  • use the database step to read and write data 
  • publish your own SOAP service process 
  • know about different possibilities 

Session 6 – Advanced Dialog customizing

Focus:  

Understand the concepts and create reusable dialogs. Configure basic field validationPick widgets from primeFaces UI library and add logic to your dialog (e.g. dynamically load drop down lists). 

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • add new widgets from primeFaces to your dialog 
  • add field validation and logic to your dialog 

Session 7– Use advanced portal components for your process (Portal Advanced)

May 12, 2020

Focus:  

Use features (components) of the portal in combination with your process/dialog such as the process chain, document upload,.. Configurcomponents of the portal such as start processes, menus,… Explore the PortalExample project and see how it is made. 

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • use standard components of the portal 
  • configure various standard features 
  • know where to find information regarding the portal customizing 

Session 8 - Document creation

Focus 

Create documents which are populated with process data based on templates. Attach files to your case. Embed files in your dialog. Explore the sample project and test lots of options for yourself.  

 

After this session you will be able to 

 

  • generate PDF and WORD Documents  
  • embed files in your dialog 
  • understand what is possible and where to find further details 

Session 9 - Q&A Super Session

We’ll gather your questions during the trainings and will give you answers and helpful advices on those which are most interesting and relevant to the audience.
